Domex for Crestron: Real-Glass Cresnet® Keypads That Work With Crestron Home OS

Crestron integrators know exactly how a project should behave. What they often struggle to find is a keypad that looks as good as the home it controls. The Domex DX-ElectB-CRSNT was built for that gap: a real-glass Cresnet® precision keypad that connects straight into the Crestron system, so the homeowner gets Domex glass on the wall and the integrator keeps the platform they already know.

Domex Works With Crestron Home OS through the DX-ElectB-CRSNT Cresnet keypad.

Native Cresnet: one cable, power and data

The CRSNT is a native Cresnet device. There is no gateway and no extra power supply: a single four-wire Cresnet run carries both power and communication to the keypad, and on to the next device in the daisy chain.

  • Terminals: 24V, Y, Z, GND
  • Cresnet power: 2 W (83 mA at 24 VDC)
  • Wiring: daisy-chain from the control system or from the previous Cresnet device

From the Crestron side, the keypad controls Crestron lighting, shading and A/V like any other keypad on the network.

1 to 9 buttons, changed on site

One CRSNT keypad covers every layout a project needs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 buttons (6 is the default; the 9-button layout uses the Diviso style). The layout is changed on site, with no software and no tools:

  • Press and release the Reset button, then immediately press and hold button 1 (top left) for 5 seconds.
  • Each time you repeat it, the keypad moves to the next layout: 6 → 9 → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 6.

Every button reports press, hold and multi-tap events to the control system. The hold time is adjustable from 300 to 5000 ms (default 500 ms), and a key-press buzzer can be turned on or off.

Light that tells you what is on

Each button has its own multicolour LED. Choose one of 8 preset colours or any RGB value, and set the active and idle brightness separately (1–100 %; defaults 80 % active, 20 % idle). Status is clear at a glance, day or night, without the keypad ever shouting.

Horizontal or vertical, in the full Domex glass family

The CRSNT mounts horizontally or vertically in a standard Italian 3-gang box, and it wears the same real-glass faceplates as every Domex keypad:

  • Styles: Core, Diviso and Sculptured
  • Colours: Black, White, Metallic Gray and Metallic Gold
  • Engraving: laser-engraved buttons, designed in Domex PCC

That means a Crestron home and a Domex Wireless home can share exactly the same wall design, room by room.

Glass the homeowner will notice

A Crestron system is often invisible when it works well. The keypad is the one part everyone touches, every day. With the Domex CRSNT, that touchpoint is real glass, engraved for the room, in a style chosen with the interior designer, while the integrator keeps the Crestron programming they trust.

See the keypad on the Domex for Crestron page, design one in Domex PCC, or contact sales@domex.life to order.
